Broughton family comic book!

My brother Todd is a comic artist, in high school he spent hours everyday painting, drawing, etc. and he is good at it! He is on his mission in the Tennessee Nashville mission (He is on a transfer in southern IL now) and even before the baby was born he told me he was working on this picture in his spare time for a birthday present for Brynne, I was so excited to get it in the mail yesterday!!It looks like we are about to overtake angry mustard, soy sauce, and Mayo. We are combatting the condiments that made me sick while I was pregnant with Brynne, oh he is funny! Anyways Taylor was pretty happy about his bicepts, and I am loving my waist and bustyness!
The weather has been so nice! Taylor was busy at work yesterday working on roofs on campus and was really hot and burnt when he got home, so we decided to go to this man made lake in Spanish Fork, it is a really fun place to swim, however it was still freezing! But Taylor was determined to swim, he even went all the way under...twice! My man is so brave haha! I really wanted a excuse to put Brynne in her swim suit, cause I'm thinking she will grow out of it by summer! But by the time we got there it was to windy and she was asleep.

We went to Applebees to celebrate finals being over, yea!!! Taylor did great on his finals and studied so hard! I'm proud of my Dr. Broughton to be :) ....You can tell Brynne cant wait till she can have some of Taylor's onion ring!

LOVE LOVE LOVE these chubby little legs!!

Tummy Time!

I still LOVE these cute legs!

Brynne has started to be a fan of her crib, she likes to look at the bumper, she also really likes her giraffe, it plays some pretty annoying music, but she likes it! This is our current fav outfit, it has a really cute sweater that goes with it, but it is to warm today, thank goodness!!!

Gardening and Easter!

Today I saw my neighbor..that lives upstairs was working in her yard so I went and helped her for awhile, I love to be outside and in the sun!! She told me that I can have one of her garden boxes to plant a little garden in, I am so excited!! What should I plant?? So far I'm thinking definatley tomatoes, peppers, onions (SALSA)....
I know this dress is red, not typically a easter dress, but I loved this outfit so much I couldnt wait to have her wear it, so her easter dress it was!

These are the cute easter pajamas Aunt LaRene gave her, so cute!

We got to babysit two week old Piper the other day while her parents took finals, it was so fun to have her..(but not fun enough that I'm ready for another baby :) I keep having these really annoying dreams where I am pregnant again already...ok they are nightmares! The other day I dreamed they were twins, Yikes...so I had to take a pregnancy test because I was starting to think these dreams were telling me something, I have never been so relieved haha...Anyways I thought this was a cute picture of Taylor and Brett they look super happy...or just really sleep deprived??

Shopping Victoriously and 10 lame way's to spend your money!

We just got a new vacumn because heaven knows that our last vacumn cost $40 and we bought it with target gift cards from our wedding, and it almost lasted a year of casually picking and choosing which dirt it wanted to pick up off the carpet. So Taylor had been researching some vacumns that he wanted, because if it was up to me I would have made the old one last other year. I hate spending money on things like "Vacumns." Anyways Taylor found the one he wanted on Ebay and got it for $100 cheaper than it was at wal-mart. It was pretty exiting I'll admit, we waited till the last second and put in our bid, and it sounded like BYU beat Utah when we found out we won......and all of this over the vacumn!

My Top 10 lame ways to spend money - These are mostly things that you never realized cost money when you were little and living at home, they just magically appeared when you needed them.

Happy Birthday Mom!

This season we have been following BYU mens volleyball, and the games have been so much fun to go to! We went to the Saturday night game, they were playing the number one team and Fri they won, but Sat they lost. But it was still fun, Taylors mom came with us and we were kind of late so there were only really bad seats left, but Taylor spotted some good seats in the middle so we had to climb over everyone with Brynne's car seat, I hate doing that its always so awkward! After awhile we started noticing this aweful smell, the little kid infront of us has this really bad stinky diaper, then the people behind us leaned over and said the smell was why the people who had been there left! Haha, but I think it was still worth it to have those seats! It was also so loud that it started scaring Brynne, so we came up with a solution, we put socks over her ears, then put her headband over her ears, I wish I would have had my camera! Go BYU!

Today is my moms bithday! The big 50, yea! I hope she had an amazing birthday! My mom is definatley one of my best friends, she is so easy to talk to and is always full of good advice! Also she is almost always on my side (unless I'm completly wrong) and is a confidence builder. Ever since I was young I would always find notes of encouragement in my room when I was having a hard time, usually with a conference talk or scripture attached. This week I was having a little drama in my life and I got one of those notes, only this time an email! I love her support! She is a great mother, and its so fun to see how into being a grandma she is! Love you mom!!

I have decided to take up sewing. So I decided to start very basic, It has been exciting going to Joanns and looking at endless posibilities for bibs and purses, Taylor went with me and acctually was pretty helpful, such a good guy! Anyways my problem with sewing is I am NOT detail oriented at all. I always cut corners and say "thats good enough," so I am working on that because I've realized that exactness in sewing is important...who knew!

I got free patterns for the purse and the dress from http://madebyrae.blogspot.com/, you can just print the patterns out, kind of cool!
