Whewww..what a month!

Trip to Rexburg:
We met up with my parents in Rexburg, stayed with Suzanne and Troy, went to the Sims family reunion at hieci hot springs, hung out with my cousins, and met up with Carrie and Zoe at rigby lake. We love Idaho!

Walker Family Reunion at Fish Lake:
I'm glad my family moved to Stockton when I was 16 because I probably would have never met Taylor otherwise and I think everyone should experience life outside of utah...but it isn't my favorite city. When we went to this breathtaking lake in the middle of know where I am reminded of where I grew up and all the time my family spent outdoors and in mountains with lots of quaking aspen trees.  I remember that I kinda love the middle of know where sometimes!  We had so much fun spending quality time with Taylor's side of the family at Fish lake, it was fabulous and beautiful!

Baby Showers:
I had fun planning a baby shower for Erica, it turned out so well except for the fact my house was about 85 degrees, but oh well, cant wait to meet my next niece!  We also had a baby shower for Alison, it was so fun to get together with friends from Vernal, they are amazing :)

24th of July:
We just spent the day relaxing and working around the house!  We let the kids stay up late and went the park in Mapleton to watch the fireworks.  We were as close as you could get and the kids could not have loved them more.  Dane just kept saying "WOW" over and over.  Brynne liked the protection of dads arm during the fireworks.  Love this little family of mine :)

Random Pictures:

There is this strange farm in springville, they have Yaks, pigs, llamas, buffalo, ostriches, chickens, ducks, and lots of other crazy animals.  We go there at least once a week to see this free zoo!

The kids walking back from getting ice cream at Reams with Dad.
The kids in their General Mills tshirts Grandpa B sent.  Thanks grandpa for fueling their lucky charm addiction :)
Brynne's new shoes that she snuck out of bed and put them on after we tucked her in, she is hilarious.
Brynne and Jade!

Wheww, we are looking forward to a little more relaxing August :)

Thanksgiving Point

A few weeks ago my mom and I took the kids to Thanksgiving point!  We had so much fun seeing all the animals, riding the ponies, and of course getting some ice cream!  I love how excited these two kiddos get about things, it makes life so fun :)

Joy School!

Brynne and I have been doing Joy School from Jan. until yesterday.  two times a week for 2 1/2 hours.  It has been so good for her.  There are two other moms that teach and we take turns teaching.  It has been fun to work with these cute girls!
Olivia, Brynne, Clara, Edie, and Allie.
Finally time for funny faces, they could hardly contain themselves!
Oh so studious!  Good work Brynne, we will try it again in the fall :)

Art City Days!

Springville has a week long celebration each June called Art City Days. It is so fun because our house is within blocks of everything that is going on so we can walk everywhere. This year was so much better than last year because Taylor has officially gone back to a m-f weekends off job. It was so fun having him hang out with us! We woke up early yesterday and went to see the hot air balloons, we had donuts and Taylors is a bacon maple bar...gross!
Heaven!
Brynne trying the bacon donut...not a fan apparently!
We watched our friends little girl this weekend, her and Brynne had so much fun pretending to be twins!
They had a free concert from a band called Black Hawk from the 80's Brynne entertained us by dancing through the whole thing!

exhausted with candy all over his face after the parade!

Taylor and I probably wanted the kids to get candy more than they did...look at Taylor making sure the big kids don't take all the candy.  The first time Dane tried to get some candy another kid took the piece he was trying to get, he just walked away slowly; sulking trying not to cry.  It was the saddest face I have ever seen from that boy, and he has had some good ones.
"Whole snow cone, not half snow cone.  I'd rather play half the game, and get whole snow cone"
Dane loved the train ride at the carnival, Brynne was a little apprehensive.

This is a view of the carnival from our yard, we also watched the fire works from our yard.
We had a great week, can't wait until next year!!
Gorgeous night!

Tire Swing!

Taylor loves to plan and think things out, I'm pretty sure he has been planing how he would make this work since last year. He wanted Brynne to earn the swing so he could start teaching her not to feel entitled to things, and the value of things that have been worked for. We made her a chore chart and she had to do all of her chores for a month to earn the swing.  She was happy to clean up her room, brush her teeth and get her hair done with the thought of her very own swing (most of the time).

So ever since it warmed up this spring, Taylor has been on the lookout for a free perfect tire, nothing else would do. One day he was driving to do his PA shadowing for the week, and saw this beauty in someone's yard.  Naturally he decided to knock on the door and ask if he could have it :)  He came home so excited to show us this treasure!  Then he spend a couple hours, climbing the monstrous tree, and figuring out how to get it hung and tied with perfect eagle scout knots.

I love the way it makes the backyard look, kind of all American yard or something.  I also love my great husband and the sweet daddy he is!

s
Side story, Brynne was coloring the other day and when I came back into the kitchen she had glued these little eyes all over her body, it looked hilarious, but she didn't like me laughing at her!

A sunny Easter!

We had a great Easter this year! We had a Easter egg hunt at Alex and Megan's, it was a gorgeous day and the kids had so much fun! Ann was out from Lodi, so it was great spending time with her. We had fun decorating eggs, Dane has been hanging out with me and Brynne too much and every time he would pull a died egg out of the water he would yell cute (toot)! Brynne was VERY concerned that the Easter bunny would come in the house and wanted us to be sure he would leave her candy and toys outside because the idea of a giant bunny lurking around the house was "freakin" her out...huh I guess she's right! She is in love with her "gumbrellaaa" she got in her basket and was sad her kite lasted less that 5 mins, but they were excited to get Dane kite up a few times! (side note: I remember always getting kites in my Easter basket so i'm excited to pass on this tradition.) Both Brynne and Dane ate their choc. bunnies in one sitting. Dane's favorite part of his easter basket was throwing the plastic grass around :) We had ham and funeral potatoes with Ann and Grandma walker, it was a great weekend!
