January 23rd

Today is January 23rd, the day we have been waiting for the baby to be born! But, she is still not coming, and I am still not dialated or having anything other than braxton hicks contractions. The Dr. was supposed to strip the membranes, but since I wasnt dialated, he couldnt do it, sad! Kenny (my brother) is convinced the baby isnt coming because its a boy and he doesnt want to come, because I only have pink clothes and decorations for him. That is one theory! Last night Taylor and I decided to go on a super long walk to get things going, but it just gave me swollen feet, and on the bright side some needed excercise! We walked from our house in mapleton to the grocery store in Springville to take back a red box movie. It was 6 miles of fun, (especially since it was raining last night!)
I have noticed that everything is making me cry...even more than usual ;) Yesterday I decided to go get a library card and do some reading, well since the library is in Springville and technically our address is mapleton they charge you 88 dollars to use the library, but dont worry there is a "Book Bus" That goes to mapleton some times! How am I supposed to be a good mom without taking my kid to the library. Lame. And who has to pay for a public library, also lame. For some reason I was so upset about this, and had to hurry and leave before I started crying in front of the poor librarian, on second hand maybe if I did she would have given me a discount! Then the other day I was about to get in the shower when I caught a look at myself in the mirror, that was like turning on the faucet! Poor Taylor has been so good at calming down a crazy pregnant lady! I just really dont understand how that baby can stay in there, it cant be comfortable, there is no more room, and there is NO way my stomach can get any bigger!

Nesting......

So, I have been keeping myself busy with decorating this nursery. Here are some pictures!
We got a great deal on our crib and changing table on KSL.com. It was kind of an ordeal getting it because it was all the way in Kaysville.....long story for another time :) But it was worth it, I love it!

This was a fun project! I saw something kinda like this at Gardner Village, and after a couple trips to michaels and lowes I think it turned out really cute!

The Nesting has begun! Here is a picture of all of Brynnes clothes, I'm afraid after I have bought, and people have given me so many nice girl clothes, this baby is going to come out a boy! I guess we will see!

Summer Vacation in January

So the word on the street is that when you become a mom, you figure out the blogging thing and have "the cutest blog on the block." So, I decided that first; since I am going to be a mom in a couple of weeks......or maybe days I should blog, second I quit my job and no longer work 10 hours a day and am trying to find things to do with myself, and third our last post was 6 or 7 months ago, and that is a disgrace!!

Like I said, I have quit my job in preparation for this baby! I have so much time! I am so used to being busy and running around trying to get everything done. Now, I have had time to organize my house, finally work on my wedding scrap book that WILL be done before the baby comes, decorate the babies room, shovel the drive way, cook dinner, swim laps, bake, write thank you cards, take naps, spend time with friends, and so many other little things that I like to do, but always have to put off! How fun! I decided that instead of just wishing that the baby would come, I am going to live in the moment and appreciate the last few selfish days I have to do whatever I want! Its almost like I'm on summer vacation from elementary school again :)
