Brynne...up way past her bedtime

Please excuse the carpet, Dione had been cutting fabric.

IN with the new N' OUT with the old..

Brynne has officially outgrown her old car seat.......(little tear that she is so big)

........Sooo she got this snazzy new car seat, which she loves! She loves facing forward so she can talk to us and constantly laughs while she is in it, hopefully this enthusiasm lasts!

This weekend we went to Liberty park but is was FREEZING.....

...So we went to temple square so we could warm up in the buildings. It was alot of fun, I hadnt been in a year or so. It always amazes me that the pioneers were able to build that temple with literally there own hands! They were amazing! After we were uplifted we left temple square and headed home, a few blocks away from the temple we passed a strip bar. I couldn't believe the contrast. Everything on temple square was beautiful, clean, wholesome. Then when we passed the bar is was tacky, disturbing, with no spirit. It made me realize that the choice to choose good can be easier, if your constantly around the spirit you can see the stark difference better.

Engaged!

(at hospital with Brynne when they had only been dating a week or so)

Congratulations Kenny and Andrea! They got engaged yesterday. Kenny picked her up from the airport with a sign that said "Andrea will you..." on the front and "not go to Hawaii with out me again" on the back (rude!) Then all day he tried to do suspicious things like he took her on a drive to the temple, etc. Then later that night after he dropped her off at her apt. he told her where he had hidden a letter for her, then he text her to look under her bead and there was the ring box, with no ring in it. Then he told her to look out her window and three stories down Kenny was in the parking lot with the ring and a huge megaphone where he probably woke up the entire apt. complex while he ask her to marry him, then I guess when it was all over everyone in the complex was at their windows clapping. cute!

A very "man" day!

My dad flew out this weekend to go to the BYU game (well to see us, and stop by the game he says.) Kenny also hung out with us all weekend because the dentist Andrea works for took her whole office to Hawaii for 10 days, so Kenny was without his GF:) Saturday was such a good day filled with man activities and man food! We woke up Saturday and had biscuits and gravy (gravy for breakfast is surely a man thing.) Then we went on a drive up the Mt. Nebo loop, which is ABSOLUTELY gorgeous, if you live anywhere close you should go. The colors were so pretty. Then we had sandwiches for lunch and headed to Provo, we stopped at Maceys and got ice cream. The one Taylor has in the picture is called the "Kong Kone" and it cost $1.29, quite the deal I think. Then we parked in our old apt complex because Taylor conned them into giving us a visitor pass, and walked to the stadium. It was a pretty fun game except Brynne was exhausted from having no nap, finally she fell asleep under our feet in the bleachers. We won a few t-shirts to! Then after the game we went home, had pizza, and watched a shoot-em-up spy movie. Thanks for coming out to visit Dad, we had a great time!!
p.s. I was looking at the picture of Taylor and I at the game and thought it was a good pic, until I realized the lady behind Taylors head has her fly down. Yikes! I wonder how many strangers pictures I'm in doing something completely awkward!

Great weekend minus the BYU loss!

We had a busy weekend, which was welcome after kind of a slow week! Sometimes on days I feel unaccomplished, I find myself looking at jobs on craigslist...then I find a job that looks great, and eventually I realize that I dont WANT to be away from my baby if we can manage it! Even though some days are full of lots of diapers and spit up and I stay in work out clothes the whole day, I realize I am way more happy with being a mom than I have ever been at any job!!

So anyways the weekend was great! On Thursday some friends came over for breakfast with their babies, then I took Brynne to story time at the library with her cousins, then I had lunch with Taylor, then I hung out with my brother, and there was a new hilarious Office on that night!

Friday Taylor got home early and we went to Salem Pond which is gorgeous, and we went to Tucanos for dinner because we had a half off birthday coupon. (Taylor told them it was my birthday and I had to play the tambourine in front of everyone, so embarrassing I was bright red, I'm not the type of person who wants to be center of attention like that!)

Then Saturday Brynne slept in till 10:00, so we got to sleep in a little to! That afternoon we went to the Utah state fair with Erica, Riley and the girls. There is something about eating $6 corn dogs at the fair :) Taylor rode a mechanical bull..he is a true city boy, but he was brave to try! I have a video I need to put up but for some reason its not letting me load..I"ll work on that.

Then sunday was the Primary program and we teach the 5-6 year olds. They were mostly good except Nathan kept taking his tie off and waving at the crowd with it and hitting himself in the head, and Cole kept shooting everyone in the audience with his bazooka (his arm pulled back in his jacket) But other than that..or maybe because of that it was a good, and entertaining program.
