MCAT no more!

Am I trying to give Taylor a heart attack with all this junk food?? Hopefully not, it is his present for finishing the MCAT today! I bought him all the things he loves, but I never buy for obvious reasons! He has been working so hard, I'm so proud of him. He is taking it as I write this, I hope he is doing ok. I feel like this experience is preparing me on being married to a medical student, studying takes so much time! I never studied that much to graduate from BYUI thats for sure, but maybe thats why I only had like a c average haha. I'm not going to lie it has been hard to have him occupied so much especially in the last month, but I'm sure that eventually he will be saving many lives and everything will be worth it...and we will gain alot of "character" as my mom would say from the experience :)

Brynne is Four Months!

These are Brynne's four month pictures!!!! I can't believe that she is this old already... Time flies. A friend of Dione's had some pictures taken of their son recently and we liked how they looked and the photographer is a great deal! Take a look at her blog to see more great work! Well, I haven't blogged in ages, but I have to get back to studying.... MCAT tomorrow! Wish me luck.
P.S. Sorry about the quality of some of the pics, they were taking forever to upload.

Brynne's first swim!

Brynne had her first swim yesterday!! She loved it, we dont have a bath tub so she hasnt really got to kick yet, but she had her opportunity and was a pro.....our future water polo player..or maybe backstroker? We will see! Also latley she has been licking everying like its a ice cream cone, its pretty cute! All her toy's get licked, her seatbelt, blankets, my face, etc.

Meet Linus the chameleon!

Meet our family pet Linus....well he is really Taylors pet I gave it to him for his birthday dec 2007. This top picture is when he was a baby, now he is at least 3x that big (unfortunately) if you ever wondered if we were wierd reptile people...now you know :) This is a picture of Linus eating a worm. We used to feed it crickets but one time one got out and found some hole to live in, in the water heater closet and was sooo loud and annoying that we went to Macy's at 2:00a.m. to get roach killer..and I vowed we would never buy another cricket. No, I never feed him, gross. Linus really does change colors alot, not next to his background but with his mood, he is lime green, brown, dark green, green with blue spots, brown with green stripes, it is pretty amazing looking!

The next video is when we stopped at wal-mart on our way home from Provo the other day, because Brynne would not stop screaming, we needed a break on our long 20 min drive...and yes is it sooo long with a screaming babe! Anyways we were playing with toy's and she cheered right up! hmmmm....I just realized the sound isnt working on Brynnes video, thats the cutest part, I'll try to fix it asap.

My 1st mothers day!

Today was GREAT!! I got to have a two hour nap, Taylor cooked dinner, I talked to my amazing mom, Taylors amazing mom, and Taylor and Brynne gave me this beautiful picture that I have been wanting for some time!! I love it!

I feel so blessed to have the opportunity to be a mom, I love my baby so much and I am entertained by everything she does! She is the most hillarious little thing. I also am grateful for the patience and selflessness I am trying to learn! I LOVE being a mom and am more grateful for the opportunity than I ever thought I would be!! I also feel so blessed to have been raised by my mom, she is so great and is always trying to do the right thing.

Summer = new flip flops!

OUT WITH THE OLD...IN WITH THE NEW!!
Ummm, yeah it was time! We wore these flip flops litteraly to the ground! It was time for some shopping, we used our pittiful state tax return...if only Brynne would have been born a month earlier!! But my new ones are the most comfortable flip flops I have ever owned! I cant wait to wear them everyday!

Krishna temple and Zions

We decided to go on our weekly date to see this Krishna temple, we both took world religions classes and thought it would be some interesting culture for us! On the web site they said they had tours from 10am-7pm, but when we got there they were having some kind of retreat and werent having tours of the inside, but they said we could walk around as much as we wanted. It was kind of interesting, we thought there would be alot of indian people there, but mostly there were older white (hippies).
The building was really cool looking, who needs to go to India when you can go to Spanish Fork Utah??

They had a bunch of cool animals, Llamas, talking parots, tons of peacocks...they even had a all white peacock, it was crazy looking! They had a pond with a ton of koi fish in it. We are going to have to go back to take the acctual tour of the building! It was a fun free date, you should go see!
On monday we drove down to Zions!! It was quite the ride with a baby who has decided that she hates her car seat, but on the way home she slept for the whole four hours, it was amazing! We rented this cute little cabin, thank goodness because a tent would have been hard with her! Anyways that night we went to the hot tub and pool (that was freezing but had slides we obviously had to go down!). Then we made dinner and watched movies on the lap top.
Then Tuesday morning we went into the park, they have a shuttle bus that takes you to some of the biggest attractions, so we went on all the easy hikes where you could take a stroller (it took up the whole trunk of the car but was very neccesary!) It was so beautiful, when I see things like this it always makes me realize that there absolutly must be a God! Brynne did pretty well, but alot of the time she wasnt having her seat in the stroller so we just had to carry her. Also for some reason there were tons of German people there, so that was fun for Taylor he got to practice a little!

At the river walk at Temple of Sinawa. Taylor talked to a German couple and they took our picture.
Trying to keep the sun out of her eyes...she isnt a fan yet.

We had a great trip, it was so fun to get out of the house for a little while! It is always so exciting to see something you havent ever seen before, and be outside in beautiful weather after a long winter!
